Our Community

Moormead FC was established by local parents in 2011, for the benefit of providing grass roots football to the St. Margaret's community in the Richmond-Upon-Thames Borough.

MMFC launched The Dinosaur Project aka 'Dinosaur Football'  in 2019, with the vision of creating a structured youth development program for the youngest group of players at the club, and to give them a purpose before they start playing league football.  Dinosaur Football encourages kids to play fun, fair, and competitive football every Saturday Morning at 10am using our home ground: Moor Mead.

To date, we've had great success building out our program, and developing the kids. We offer multiple tournaments each season, and challenge the kids to play out of their comfort zones, to allow them to grow as players and individuals.

The club is a non-profit organisation.  We collect fees from all our players, but this is spent on improving their overall player experience within the club. We are 100% reliant on parent coaches and we offer FA training to parents to enhance the quality of our engagements with players. 

All our coaches and club officials are parents of local children, and without their help, the club would not operate.  Please reach out to us if you're interested in coaching, or helping out with the team or club in any other way.  Last season MMFC DINOS had 20 coaches across 4 year groups, and all of them would recommend getting involved.
